21 Days of Fasting and Prayer

Day 14 | January 21

Scripture Reading | Acts 10:44-48

44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. 45 The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on Gentiles. 46 For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God. Then Peter said, 47 “Surely no one can stand in the way of their being baptized with water. They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.” 48 So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days.

Scriptural Prayer

Praise and Worship
Heavenly Father, we magnify Your name for pouring out Your Spirit on all people. Your salvation is for everyone who believes, and Your generosity knows no bounds. We honor You for breaking barriers and welcoming all into Your family.

Praying God’s Will
Lord, as You granted the Gentiles the same gift You gave to the Jews when they believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, let us also be receptive to the move of Your Spirit in unexpected places and among all whom You call.

Praying the Request
Gracious God, may we, like the Gentile believers, be overwhelmed with Your Spirit's presence. Empower us to speak in tongues and praise You without reservation, testifying to the truth of the gospel in our lives.

Praying for Forgiveness
Forgive us, Lord, for ever doubting Your plan to include all nations and peoples in Your kingdom. Forgive us for times of exclusion or hesitation to share the good news. Help us to embrace and celebrate the diversity of Your family.

Praying for Protection
Protect Your Church from division and discord, O God. Guard our unity in the Spirit, and help us to uphold one another in love, just as You command us to love our neighbors as ourselves.

Praise and Worship
We rejoice in Your Spirit that has been poured out upon all flesh, fulfilling Your promise. You are the God of salvation, and in You, there is no partiality. We give thanks for the baptism that unites us, in the name of Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.
