21 Days of Fasting and Prayer
Day 15 | January 22
Scripture Reading | Acts 13:2-4
2 While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” 3 So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off. 4 The two of them, sent on their way by the Holy Spirit, went down to Seleucia and sailed from there to Cyprus.
Scriptural Prayer
Praise and Worship
Holy God, You are the Lord of the harvest, calling Your servants for the work to which You have appointed them. We worship You for Your divine guidance and the mission You entrust to Your Church.
Praying God’s Will
Father, as the Holy Spirit in Antioch directed the church to set apart Barnabas and Saul for the work to which You had called them, guide us also to discern Your purpose for our lives. May we be attentive to the Holy Spirit's voice in our communities and obedient to Your call.
Praying the Request
Lord, we ask that You would raise up laborers in Your vineyard today, as You did in the days of the early Church. Empower us by Your Spirit to go forth boldly, as Saul and Barnabas did, to proclaim Your word and accomplish Your will.
Praying for Forgiveness
Forgive us for times when we have not listened to Your Spirit or when we have been reluctant to follow Your lead. Forgive us for being hesitant to step out in faith to the tasks You set before us.
Praying for Protection
Protect us, Lord, as we venture into Your mission field. Guard us from discouragement and fear, and fortify our spirits for the challenges we may face. Keep us steadfast in faith and effective in ministry.
Praise and Worship
We give You thanks and praise, for You are the One who calls, equips, and sends. Your purposes are perfect, and Your plans are sure. We dedicate ourselves afresh to Your service, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
