21 Days of Fasting and Prayer

Day 19 | January 26

Scripture Reading | Galatians 5:22-25

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

Scriptural Prayer

Praise and Worship
Lord of all grace, we praise You for the fruit of the Spirit which You cultivate in the lives of Your followers. Your Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control in us, and for this transformation, we give You thanks.

Praying God’s Will
Heavenly Father, guide us to live by the Spirit, so that we may not gratify the desires of the flesh. Help us to walk in step with Your Spirit, displaying the fruit in every aspect of our lives.

Praying the Request
Grant us, O God, an increase of Your Spirit's fruit in our daily walk. May love govern our actions, joy fill our hearts, peace rule our minds, patience steady our lives, kindness guide our hands, goodness reflect our deeds, faithfulness define our relationships, gentleness be seen in our temperament, and self-control direct our impulses.

Praying for Forgiveness
Forgive us for those moments when we have walked in the flesh rather than the Spirit. For the times we have failed to exhibit Your fruit, we ask for Your cleansing and a renewed commitment to live in Your Spirit.

Praying for Protection
Protect us from the snares of the enemy and the temptations that lead us away from Your Spirit. Help us to live in such a way that we crucify the flesh with its passions and desires.

Praise and Worship
We worship You, God, for the gift of Your Holy Spirit. May we live as those who have been crucified with Christ and now live by the Spirit. Help us to keep in step with the Spirit, living lives that are a testament to Your transforming power. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
