21 Days of Fasting and Prayer

Day 4 | January 11

Scripture Reading | Luke 10:21-22

21 At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do. 22 “All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”

Scriptural Prayer

Praise and Worship
O Lord, our Sovereign God, we exalt Your name with joy for Your profound wisdom and understanding, hidden from the wise and learned, yet revealed to little children. Your ways are perfect, and Your truth is a light unto our path.

Praying God’s Will
Father, we embrace the mysteries of Your kingdom, acknowledging that You reveal Your truths to us as Your children. We are grateful for the intimate knowledge of God that Jesus Christ imparts to us. Help us to understand Your will as You have revealed it to Your Son.

Praying the Request
Gracious God, we ask for the humility of a child in order to receive Your revelations. Grant us the grace to know Jesus more deeply and through Him, come to know You. May our hearts be open to the teachings of Your Son, and may we be instruments to share Your truths with others.

Praying for Forgiveness
Merciful Father, forgive our pride and our inclination to rely on our own understanding. Forgive us when we overlook the simplicity of Your truth for complicated human wisdom. Help us to forgive others as we seek forgiveness from You.

Praying for Protection
Lord, protect our faith from the arrogance of self-reliance and the deception of worldly wisdom. Keep us grounded in the pure joy of Your truth as revealed by Your Son, Jesus Christ.

Praise and Worship
We praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for You have hidden these things from the wise and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this way was well-pleasing in Your sight. We rejoice in the Son, through whom all things have been revealed. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
